Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity
Thanks to members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and other Lutheran volunteers joining forces with Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country, 313 homes were built with families in need of simple, decent, affordable housing last year. That's nearly one home built every 28 hours in communities across the United States through Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity. This year, our affiliate will be part of this exciting alliance!
Homes built through Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity are in addition to the more than 5,000 homes Habitat affiliates currently build each year in the United States and Canada. That represents a six percent increase in Habitat home production. It also is a reflection of what can be accomplished when Habitat affiliates join together with new volunteers to give even more families a great start toward economic independence.
You can help bring 355 families home in 2007 through Thrivent Builds
West Georgia Habitat for Humanity is building one home with Thrivent Builds this year. The Thrivent Builds Homes program will bring both financial and volunteer support to help our affiliate and other Habitat affiliates increase homebuilding capacity by hundreds of homes in 2007! You can help bring more families home.
From the first nail to the last, building a home through Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity is a profound experience. It's not just concrete and wood, its tears and smiles, born of hard work and faith. And it's the knowledge that you’ve helped change lives.
We can help end poverty housing through Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity, a $105 million financial, volunteer, and advocacy alliance between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International®.
