Becoming a Homeowner

To apply to become a partner family, you must meet the following criteria:  1) have resided or worked in Carroll or Haralson county for the last 12 consecutive months, 2) have steady financial income at 30-50% of the median income 3) be willing to provide 300-400 hours of "sweat equity" labor in building your home and home ownership education, 4) be in need of safe, decent affordable housing because your current housing is unsafe, overcrowded, too expensive, etc.

In order to receive an application, you MUST attend a mandatory family selection meeting.  Family selection meetings are typically held only once per year after the funds have been raised to sponsor a home.  Meetings will be held this month at the Solid Rock Cafe, 114 Old City Hall Avenue in Carrollton.  You can choose to attend either Saturday, Feb. 25, at 4:00 p.m. or Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7:00 p.m.
